Under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Regional Training Center for Good Health Research Practices in the WHO Western Pacific Region (WPRO) held the Training course on Scientific Manuscript Writing from 25 to 29 July 2011 in Manila, Philippines
Participants to the Training course included 10 representatives form 5 countries: China (2), Mongolia (1), Lao PDR (3), Viet Nam (3), Phillippine (1). Vietnamese representatives were Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Van De- Dean of Parasite of Hanoi Medical University, Dr. Nguyen Van Chuong - Vice Director of IMPE Quy Nhon and Tran Van Hien, M.Sc, Vice Headmaster of Long An Secondary Medical School.
Objectives of the training course:
- To define and select an international scientific journal for publication.
- To build form of a scientific manuscript.
- To exchange views of structure and content of a scientific manuscript with mentor.
- To summarize research results and consider journals for publication.

- Steps to consider structure of a scientific manuscript published on international journals.
- How to choose title of an article and display research results, table, chart and graph logically.
- How to choose research methods and statistical algorithms for data processing in a scientific manuscript.
- How to choose research objectives and discuss research matters.
- How to select exact keywords and quote documentary sources.

During 5 days of the training course, the participants has finished their own scientific manuscripts based on each country's projects implemented in previous years. Hoping that the participants do comprehend knowledge and have experience in data processing and scientific manuscript writing and their research work will be soon published on well-known international journals.
